History Of Orkut

Orkut was quietly launched on January 22, 2004 by Google, the search engine company. Orkut Büyükkökten, a Turkish software engineer, developed it as an independent project while working at Google (permitted by its policy). Some discomfort with this exists among users and potential users of orkut, especially since Google's other noteworthy product of 2004, the Web-based email client Gmail, allows the company to automatically scan the text of users' private emails in order to target ads toward them.

While previously working for Affinity Engines, he had developed a similar system, InCircle, intended for use by university alumni groups. In late June 2004, Affinity Engines filed suit against Google, claiming that Büyükkökten and Google based orkut on inCircle code. The allegation is based on the presence of 9 identical bugs in orkut that also exist in InCircle.

Blank Scraps

There are number of ways to make Blank Scraps

Method number One :

Go to Scrap Book and write [b] or [i] this will apear as Blank.

Method Number Two :

Go to Scrap Book and write Alt + 0163 (You have to write it from Num pad) this will appear as Blank.

Method Numebr Three :

Go to Scrap Book and write this code between these inverted comas " " ..... The Code is between the inverted comas and is invisible....copy it and past it in scrap Book....it will apear as Blank...

Method Number Four :

Go To Scrap Book and past any of the following codes there :

1) & # 10
2) & # 11
3) & # 12
4) & # 13

They will apear as Blank

Make your Name Invisible

To make your name Invisible it's simple....Just copy this " "

The Code is between the Inverted Comas and is Invisible....plz copy it and paste it in your name field. it will appear as invisible....Then Click on update....your name will become invisible...

The other method to make your name Invisible is as following :

1) Go to your profile
2) Click on edit Profile
3) click on ur first name and then press Alt + 0173 (from num pad)
4) Repeat the process by clicking on ur second name and then again Alt + 0173 (frm Num Pad)

You can also use these Tricks with MSN, Yahoo and other messengers..
